• Tell us in few words about you.
I’m a conceptual photographer, born in Liege, with a research focus on the urban landscape and the architecture. My work is a critical view at humanity through its architecture.
Trained as an interior architect, I’ve worked several years in architecture and urbanism firms as a designer and graphic designer, before devoting myself exclusively to the photography. My photographs are regularly exhibited in Belgium, France and The Netherlands. They are widely spread via international blogs specialized in art and architecture.
• What motivated you to become an artist?
I’ve started my artistic life with the design. At that time, I wanted to give through my furniture creations a view of the world. Later, I felt like talking to the world in a more direct manner. It occurs to me that the fairest medium for that was fine arts rather that applied arts.
• Tell us a bit about your work habits.
My work habits are quite structured. In general I start working at 9 am and finish at 8 pm.
The days starts with reading, then with the web to keep me up to date of the new things, emails… The biggest part of the day is devoted to outside shooting or postproduction work.
• What inspires and provokes imagination in you?
The Human comedy
• Does your work reflect your person?
Before I would have answered no, but maybe yes because order and rigor in my work help me to get structured.
• The adjective that best describes you?
Self made.
• Le mot que vous préférez ?
« Oufti ! » ( A Belgium expression that means you crazy)
